2.4        Characteristics

 

2.4.1  Featured Classes: Happy to Enjoy Reading
Purposes & goals:
To train students’ reading habit by promoting relevant reading activities.
To encourage reading the good books and to share what they learn and gain.

Activities:

2.4.1.1            Introduction to one book of every month (so-called “Monthly Top 1”): School library sets up “Monthly Top 1” section to display the book of best choice of every month and offer the opportunities all the teachers and students to       borrow. 

2.4.1.2            Activities of “Monthly Quiz-prize”: Teachers work out the monthly quizzes by the ideas abstracted from the “Monthly Top 1”; the students who write the right answers on paper and throw it into the lottery box will have one chance to        win a prize offered by the school library.

2.4.1.3            Composition of what students gain from books: Teachers will teach the mid-low grades how to complete their “studying sheet”, on the other hand, to guide the high grade how to use a computer to write an article composed of 500        words or more.

2.4.1.4            The fine works praise: Teachers will evaluate all the articles composed by students based on their gains from books, and post good ones on bulletin for teachers and students to appreciate.

2.4.1.5            Story-telling Mamas tell stories: Those mothers who came from Sinjhuang city and trained there were invited to tell the students those interesting stories of the books stored in the classrooms in Sept. to Dec. of 2007.

2.4.1.6            Reader Passport: Each student allots one reader passport, and those readers with good records at passport will be highly rewarded at the end of a semester.

 

2.4.2 

Featured student Club: Cub Scouts


Purposes & goals:
Established in A.D.1999, the club has been the developing focus of the school and has a self-contained scout log cabin which is unique to all around the Taoyuan county. Therefore, it makes the club itself a good environment to temper those cubs’ scouting skills and learn how to give a hand to others; on the other hand, to broaden their views, the club can also offer great opportunities for cubs to join scouting activities outside school. In short, we hope our students be able to reach learning targets set-up by the government under such an environment full of diversity and learning materials.

Activities:
Beginning with games, the club will simulate the students’ interests on learning scouting skill through creating a team slogan for cheering, playing games, singing songs, telling stories etc.  Training policy as following:

2.4.2.1            Team System: To train and develop the students’ attitude of co-operation, discipline, and leadership.

2.4.2.2            Honor System: To enhance the students’ confidence and sense of responsibility.

2.4.2.3            Badge System: To train the students stage by stage in accordance with Students’ status, affirm their ability to be qualified and go up to higher stage.

 

2.4.3 

Featured student Club: Chinese Orchestra
Purposes & goals:
Established in A.D. 2007.  By playing Liqin and Ruan, the students will be able to not only touch classical music and Chinese music to mold their temperament, but open up the cognition of music culture. Besides, the club will be featured via its special skills and manner of playing music. Thus, we hope the goal of that “each school has one feature, and every student owns one specialty” can be achieved.

Activities:

 2.4.3.1           Grouding Training: To Guide different degrees of students to improve their playing skills, the purpose is strengthening specific solo ability, eventually to achieve overall perfect. Grounding includes the l       earning how to play above instruments to follow basic rhythm, how to pluck at string, and how to keep in different tunes

 2.4.3.2         Advanced Training: To aim at students' learning of rhythm, the beat, and the overall instrumental ensemble, teachers will conduct the club so as to improve the results of learning, promote acumen degree of       student's hearing, and to strengthen the interrelation of unity and esthesia ability to the music

Featured student Club: Fine Arts

Purposes & goals:
To offer students a great diversity of fine arts to study, foster their interests and potential specialty on it, meanwhile, to mold their temper and realize the beautiful form principle and can use it in daily life.

Activities:

2.4.4.1            To experience how to create works: With painting course, design course, craft course,etc. compound material, let children experience the difference and stimulate the sense of inspiration to behave creation. 

2.4.4.2            To learn how to present final results of works: To try to create with the level and the three-dimensional way that display as more aspects as creative works can achieve.

                                 

 
 

Featured student Club:Drum band
Purposes & goals:

Activities:   Established in A.D. 2007.  By practicing rhythm, ensemble and the variety of band formation changing, students will not only experience the enjoyment of the beating drum and open up the cognition of music culture, but also cultivate their mind and specialty.

 

Enroll news members targeted from 4 to six grade student.  Club members are about 60 people at present. Practice time will be 8:00~8:30 on Tuesday morning, and Thursday club time. The club has performed in such important days as the anniversary of the founding of school and graduation ceremony, etc.. With neat movements and the drumbeats full of vigor, it let all the members of the club win the universal applause.

Featured student Club:T-Ball

 

          

         Organization & History:

Established in A.D. 2000, most of members are aboriginal students. The school teachers serve as coaches to do training and lead the students to join the T-Ball matches. They often go in for physical training and exercise at early morning before classes and even leaving school. Making their every effort on T-Ball, though, everybody is without a murmur, and obtains the good results from competition so many times.

 

 

3          History

3.1        The Hsing-Fu elementary school was established on February 1, 1996 in order to realize the national educational reform, and implement the policy of forming a small-scale school via small-scale but primary classes to improve teaching efficiency, and absorb the escalating pressure derived from classes enlargement of Shang Ding elementary school.  But, it would have become impossible if no help from local enthusiastic gentry, concerted efforts of all teachers and students’ parents, and particularly, the full support of former mayor of Taoyuan county,  This school grounds 1.795 hectare, total about 237 million funds, and is featured with beauty, safety, and practicality according with the principle of education. The school construction site along with other subsidiary projects was laid a foundation stone and a ground-breaking ceremony was held in June of 1998, all projects were completed in November of 2000.  let great number of pupils live in a towering and grand, beautiful fairy tale world here, bathing in the spring breeze, and grow up happily.
